Phi Kappa Tau is committed to providing a place for men develop and become leaders along side their journey in higher education. 

Our Values

Joining our chapter at KU they are joining a community of fellow students, alumni and other partners to develop and support your son during his crucial undergraduate years and prepare him for life after graduation in Lawrence and beyond.

Zero Tolerance for Hazing

Phi Kappa Tau strictly prohibits hazing in any form. Our new member education process is focused entirely on leadership development, history, and building positive relationships.

Philanthropy and Service

We believe in giving back to the community. Phi Kappa Tau’s national philanthropy is the SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by our own alumnus Paul Newman. Our KU chapter hosts annual philanthropic events to raise funds and awareness for camps that serve children with serious illnesses. 

Academic Success

Beta Theta values academic success which means holding each other to a higher standard. One of the highest GPAs in the IFC over a 3.0 chapter average.

Family Involvement 

When your son joins Phi Kappa Tau, your family joins ours. We highly encourage parents to be active participants in the chapter’s extended community. The chapter hosts family weekend, dad's and mom's weekend events.
